Cyfarchion/Congratulations
Llongyfarchiadau i Philip a Abi, Tynreithyn, ar enedigaeth mab bach, Ifan Tomos – ŵyr i Roy a Judy, Llysawel.  Hefyd i Mark a Pamela Davies, Delfryn ar enedigaeth Harri – ŵyr bach arall i Ceredig a Marian, Tanresger; ac yn olaf i Rhodri a Carys yng Nghaerdydd ar enedigaeth mab bach, Dafydd Caio Gomer – ŵyr i Elfyn a Rowena, Troed y Bryn.
Congratulations to Philip and Abi, Tynreithyn, on the birth of their son, Ifan Thomas - grandson of Roy and Judy, Llysawel. Also to Mark and Pamela Davies, Delfryn on the birth of Harri -  grandson to Ceredig and Marian, Tanresger; and finally to Rhodri and Carys in Cardiff on the birth of their baby boy, Dafydd Caio  Gomer - grandson to Elfyn and Rowena, Troed y Bryn.

YMDDIRIEDOLAETH ANTHONY NOLAN TRUST
Bu Heddwyn Jones, Derlwyn digon mentrus i ymweld a Chanolfan Gweithgaredd Llain yn Llanarth yn ddiweddar i godi arian tuag at Ymddiriedolaeth Anthony Nolan, elusen sy’n hybu trawsblannu mêr asgwrn.  Yr her oedd croesi rhwng dau dŵr uchel ar lithryn gwifren zip, gorchwyl a gwblhaodd yn llwyddiannus gan godi £550 tuag at yr Ymddiriedolaeth.  Dymuna Heddwyn ddiolch i bawb a'i gefnogodd gyda’r her, a Chanolfan Gweithgardd Llain am gael defnyddio’r offer.
Heddwyn Jones, Derlwyn was brave enough to visit Llain Activity Centre at Llanarth recently to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust, a charity that promotes bone marrow transplantation. The challenge was to zip slide. He completed the task successfully raising £ 550 for the Trust. Heddwyn would like to thank everyone that supported the challenge, and Llain Activity Centre for the use of the equipment.

Parc Chwarae/Play Area
Gwireddwyd y freuddwyd o gael safle ddiogel i’r plant i chwarae ar Barc Bro Fana, a chafwyd agoriad swyddogol y safle ar ddydd Sadwrn, yr 2ail o Orffennaf.  ‘Roedd tyrfa fawr wedi ymgynnull ar ddiwrnod braf, heulog, ac agorwyd y safle yn swyddogol gan Elfyn a Rowena Davies, Troed y Bryn.  Talodd Elfyn deyrnged i aelodau Cyngor y Neuadd, a’r gymdogaeth yn gyffredinol am eu cefnogaeth, eu dygnwch a’u gwaith caled, a braf oedd clywed sŵn y plant ar gae’r pentref unwaith eto.  Cafodd yr offer ddigon o ddefnydd ar y dydd, ac mae brwdfrydedd y plant yn parhau.  ‘Roedd ‘picnic yn y parc’ wedi ei drefnu ar gyfer pawb yn dilyn yr agoriad swyddogol, ac yna cafwyd mabolgampau i gloi gweithgareddau’r prynhawn, cyn ymgynnull eto yn yr hwyr am barbiciw, a chyfle i ymlacio a chymdeithasu.  Diolch i bawb a gyfrannodd tuag at lwyddiant y dydd.
The dream of having a site safe for children to play at Parc Bro Fana finally came true, with the official opening of the site on Saturday, 2nd July. A large crowd assembled on a bright, sunny day and the site was officially opened by Elfyn and Rowena Davies, Troed y Bryn Elfyn paid tribute to the Hall Committee members, and the neighborhood in general for their support, their endurance and hard work, and it was nice to hear the noise of children on the village field again. The  equipment was well used on the day, and the enthusiasm of the children continues.A picnic in the park had been arranged for everyone to follow the official opening, followed by an afternoon of sports  before gathering again in the evening for a barbecue, and a chance to relax and socialize. Thanks to everyone who contributed towards the success of the day.

CARNIFAL A MABOLGAMPAU/Carnival and Sports
Cynhaliwyd y Carnifal a Mabolgampau blynyddol ar y 13eg o Awst, ac hyfryd oedd croesawi Elgan a Mary Jones, Tremafon yn Llywyddion y dydd.  Mae gan Elgan gysylltiad agos a Ffarmers, wedi ei fagu yn Dolaugwynion, ac fel ei dad gynt, yn aelod ffyddlon o Gyngor y Neuadd.  Mae gan Mary hefyd gysylltiadau teuluol ag ardal Ffarmers yn mynd yn ôl sawl cenhedlaeth, ac mae’n gwasanaethu yr ardal fel Clerc Cyngor Cymuned Cynwyl Gaeo.  Gan ein bod eleni yn nodi pedwar ugain mlynedd ers agor y Neuadd, gwahoddwyd tri o blant yr ardal sydd hefyd yn dathlu eu pedwar ugain, i ymuno a ni fel gwestai arbennig – Gwyneth Davies, Maesisaf; Annie Jenkins, Min y Dderwen a Eirwen Thomas, Tynrheol.  Penblwydd hapus i’r tair ohonynt wrth ddathlu carreg filltir arbennig.
Eleni, am y tro cyntaf ers blynyddoedd, cafwyd Brenhines y Rhosynnau a’i gosgordd i gychwyn gweithgareddau’r dydd.  Y frenhines oedd Lisa Jones, Sŵn y nant, gyda Niah Bouvet, Y Drovers a Sara Jones, Sŵn y nant yn forwynion; Rhys Jones, Sŵn y nant oedd y Tywysog a Rhodri Morgan, Bryntwrch oedd y macwy.  Diolch i’r plant am gyflawni eu dyletswyddau mor hwylus.  Cafwyd cystadleuaeth dda yn y Carnifal, ac yn amlwg, tipyn o waith wedi mynd i mewn i’r paratoi.  Felly hefyd y mabolgampau, gyda chystadlu brwd a thipyn o hwyl.  Enillwyd y Cwpan er cof am Elin Mair am y ferch orau dan 6 oed yn y mabolgampau gan Niah Bouvet, Y Drovers, a chwpan her Clwb y Groesffordd am y cystadleuwr gyda mwyaf o bwyntiau dan 16 oed yn mynd i Bryn Morgan, Sŵn y nant.  I gloi’r gweithgareddau, cafwyd twrnament pêl droed.  Ar y nos Sul, cynhaliwyd Helfa Drysor wedi ei threfnu gan Kevin a Nicola Morgan, a’r enillwyr eleni oedd Gwyneth Richards a Doreen George.  Diolch i’r rhai hynny a fu wrthi yn paratoi ar gyfer yr amrywiol weithgareddau, ac i bawb am eu cefnogaeth parod.
The annual Carnival and Sports Day was held on the 13th of August, and it was lovely to welcome Elgan and Mary Jones, Tremafon as Presidents of the day. Elgan has a close connection with Ffarmers, having been brought up in Dolaugwynion, and like his father before, a faithful member of the Hall Council of Management. Mary also has family connections with Ffarmers going back several generations, and she serves the area as a Community Council Clerk . As we are this year celebrating eighty years since the opening of the Hall, we invited three children in the area who are also celebrating their eightieth birthdays, to join us as a special guests - Gwyneth Davies, Maesisaf; Annie Jenkins, Min y Dderwen and Eirwen Thomas , Tynrheol. Happy Birthday to all three of them as they celebrate a special milestone.
This year, for the first time in years,we had a Rose Queen  and her entourage to start the day's activities. The queen was Lisa Jones,Swn Y Nant, with Niah Bouvet, The Drovers and Sara Jones, Swn y Nant as attendants; Rhys Jones, Swn y Nant was the Prince and Rhodri Morgan, Bryntwrch was Pageboy. Thanks to the children for undertaking  their duties so diligently. There was good competition in the Carnival, and obviously, much work had gone into the preparation. The sports were successful too, with keen competition and lots of fun. Winner of the Cup in memory of Elin Mair, for the girl under the age of 6 with most points in the  sports was Niah Bouvet, The Drovers.  The Crossroads Club challenge cup for the competitor with the most points under 16 was Bryn Morgan, Swn Y Nant . To conclude the activities, there was a football tournament. On Sunday night, a treasure hunt had been organized by Kevin and Nicola Morgan, and the winners this year were Gwyneth Richards and Doreen George. Thanks to those who  prepared  the various activities, and to everyone for their continued support.
Neuadd Bro Fana Hall
Mae Cyngor y Neuadd wedi bod yn paratoi rhaglen o weithgareddau ar gyfer y gaeaf gan gychwyn gyda Noson Caws a Gwin ar yr 17eg o Fedi.  Cynhelir noson ‘Rasus Parlwr’ yn Y Drovers ar yr 11eg o Dachwedd, a byddwn yn croesawi Gary a Siân Jones, Cwmann yn Llywyddion y noson.  Ar y 14eg o Dachwedd, bydd Alan Leech o Lanfair Clydogau yn rhoi hanes Dan Jenkins, cymeriad dylanwadol a fu’n Brifathro yn Ysgol Llanycrwys o 1898 – 1920.  Bydd rhagor o weithgareddau yn cael eu trefnu yn ystod y misoedd nesaf.
Ar y 1af o Hydref, cynhelir Cyngerdd yn y Neuadd, wedi ei drefnu gan Gôr Cwmann a’r Cylch gydag Aled Edwards ag Eleri Owen Edwards, Cilycwm; Kees Huysmans o Dregroes, a Parti Bois Dyffryn Cothi yn cymeryd rhan.  Mae elw’r noson yn cael ei gyflwyno i Ymchwil Cancr ac Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru.  Bydd tocynnau ar gael oddiwrth aelodau’r Côr, a Dai’s Diner yn Llambed.
The Hall Council has been preparing a programme of activities for the Winter starting with a Cheese and Wine evening on the 17th of September.Parlour Racing will be held in The Drovers on the 11th of November, and we welcome Gary and Sian Jones, Cwmann as Presidents for the evening. On the 14th of November, Alan Leech from Llanfair Clydogau gives the history of Dan Jenkins, a character who was influential as School Headmaster in Llanycrwys from 1898 to 1920. Further activities are planned during the coming months.
On the 1st of October, a Concert will be held in the Hall, organized by Cwmann and District Choir with Aled Edwards, Eleri Owen Edwards, Cilycwm; Kees Huysmans of Tregroes, and Parti Bois DyffrynCothi . The proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research and the Wales Air Ambulance. Tickets available from choir members, and Dai's Diner in Lampeter.
