Ymddeoliad/Retirement
Yn dilyn bron i chwech mlynedd o wasanaeth fel is-bostfeistr yn Ffarmers, mae Peter Jukes bellach wedi rhoi’r gorau i’r swydd.  Diolchwn iddo fel cymuned am ei barodrwydd i ymgymeryd a’r swydd ar adeg pan oedd neb yn awyddus i wneud y gwaith.  Mae’r gwasanaeth yn bwysig i’r gymdogaeth gyfan gan mae hon, erbyn hyn, yw’r unig swyddfa bost rhwng Llanbedr Pont Steffan a Llanymddyfri.  Fel arwydd o werthfawrogiad, ‘roedd Jayne a Diane yn Y Caffi wedi trefnu bwffe i nodi yr achlysur, a daeth nifer o ffyddloniaid y Swyddfa Bost ynghyd i fwynhau’r bwyd, a diolch i Peter am ei wasanaeth. Yn ffodus, mae Darrell Garwood, un o drigolion y pentref, wedi cymeryd at y gwaith, a dymunwn yn dda iddo gyda’r swydd a gychwynnodd ar yr 16eg o Fawrth.  Yr oriau agor fydd o 9.00 hyd 12.30 ar ddydd Mawrth, Mercher a Iau.
Following nearly six years of service as a sub-postmaster of Farmers, Peter Jukes has now retired. We thank him as a community for his willingness to undertake the job at a time when one else came forward. The service is important to the whole neighborhood by now, as this is the only post office between Lampeter and Llandovery. As a token of appreciation, he Jayne and Diane in The Cafe arranged a buffet to mark the occasion, and a number of the faithful supporters of the Post Office came together to enjoy food, and to thank  Peter for his service. Fortunately, Darrell Garwood, a resident of the village, has taken on the work, and we wish him well with the job that started on the 16th of March. The opening hours will be from 9.00 until 12.30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
